  • We are licensed professional responsible for the overall design, concept, and often the project management of a project.   

    We are a professional practice established over 60 years ago.  We have seen the traditional role of the Architect which encompassed the roles listed below, become segregated as procurement strategies and regulatory requirements have become more complex.  Our historic depth of understanding of the requirements and responsibilities of each of these roles makes us best placed to carry them out.

  • Focus: Creative vision, conceptualisation, and overall design direction.  

    Responsibilities:  

    • Formulating the core visual concepts and layouts.  

    • Coordinating and integrating the work of specialist designers.  

    • Ensuring design consistency and alignment with aesthetics and business goals.  

    • Often acts as a key decision-maker on significant design issues.

  • Item descriptionFocuses on the "why" (business goals) and the overall "when" (schedule)  The Lead Consultant is the main point of contact, but the Lead Designer may become the main contact for significant design issues. 

    Focus: Management, project coordination, and client liaison.  

    Responsibilities: 

    • Acting as the primary point of contact for the client.  

    • Delegating tasks and ensuring the team stays on track, on budget, and within schedule.  

    • Directing and coordinating the work of the entire consultant team, which may include designers.  

    • Managing the project through all stages to ensure a successful outcome.

  • A Client Adviser is usually an experienced architect and professional practitioner (but not the one designing the building) working in the client team, independent of the design team, monitoring and helping the client to follow a robust decision making process from the very start and throughout the project.

  • We offer Principal Designer services to support safe, compliant, and coordinated project delivery. Working with trusted collaborators, we ensure that statutory duties are met under both CDM and Building Safety Act.

  • We use Building Information Modelling (BIM) to support coordination, performance, and delivery across all project stages.   • We use physical and digital modelling to support design development, communication, and decision-making. Our in-house model making team works alongside architects to produce high-quality physical models, supported by CNC and 3D printing. We also create visualisations and animations to support planning, consultation, and stakeholder engagement.
