Accompanied by an artist; Jane Fawns-Watt, we filmed the site from the car, gathering evidence, surrounded by the sound of the engine and rain.
Beside the road we found detached orange coloured reflectors, fingers of blue shadows, yellow lights, dusty greens.
We replayed our road movie over and over, selected frames and worked over them, trying to tease the extra ordinary from the ordinary. We imagined parallel rows of densely packed, double height street lights. We saw the roundabout as a giant cats eye from which a two mile line of pale and dark blue reflectors would trace a journey to a point where the road met the rail bridge over the Silvery Tay.
