Forth Valley College now on site

Construction work is now under way at our Forth Valley College’s £16 million campus in Stirling. Located at the city's East Kildean, the newly-built state-of-the-art learning campus accommodates engineering, construction (including electrical engineering and decoration), science, business, hair and beauty, creative industries and hospitality.

Deputy First Minister Nicola Sturgeon cut the first sod on site and noted: “This campus will provide the staff and students of Forth Valley College with first class education facilities, as well as greater space, enabling them to grow as a college. However, this £29m investment goes much further than just improving the learning and teaching experience. It brings real economic benefits to the local shops and businesses in Stirling, enhances the tourist experience and, of course, creates jobs.”

The Stirling campus, along with a new campus for the College in Alloa, also designed and currently being developed by Reiach and Hall, is part of Forth Valley College's exciting new era for education and training in central Scotland. The package not only delivers newly-built state-of-the-art learning campuses in both Stirling and Alloa but develops the first phase of a solution for the current Falkirk Campus.

Reiach and Hall were appointed following a competitive interview process and the Stirling campus, now on site, is due for completion in 2012.
